At Miller, the season champions were crowned. It was a trying, stressful accomplishment for most. IMSA's second-to-last weekend on the 2014 schedule visited Circuit of The Americas, the new Formula 1 track in Austin, Texas. The big story: This would be the only American appearance for the Le Mans WEC endurance cars. The other big story: A monster deluge soon after the WEC headliner sent many contenders skidding into the gravel and caused offcials to red-fag the race for an extended period. The WEC cars might have gotten the best spots in the paddock, but as usual the IMSA Continental Tire Challenge cars put on a great show. Trent Hindman and John Edwards scored the GS-class win, keeping Hindman at the top of the points race.
