Grassroots Motorsports 176 W hat a difference a year makes, especially if your name is Alex Job. After 2014, you will recall, Job was not a happy man, and with good reason: A botched offciating call penalized Job's Porsche 911 GT Daytona entry, even though the offense was committed by an entirely different Porsche running in the GT Le Mans class. Though IMSA admitted its mistake, the sanctioning body couldn't fgure out what they considered to be a fair way to give Job's car back its spot. Offcials ended up doing noth- ing–not even penalizing the actual offending Porsche. It very possibly cost the veteran Florida-based team owner his record 10th win at his home track. Fast-forward–perhaps not fast enough to suit Alex Job, but pretty fast–to 2015, and Job has two Porsche entries at Sebring in the GT Daytona class: No. 22 is running under the WeatherTech banner, and No. 23 is in Team Seattle livery. Both cars ran strong, at one point first and second in class, until No. 22 suffered problems sufficient to require the team to replace the brakes, costing them a solid finish. No. 23 had its own problems, including a balky refueling rig and a tire that went fat at the end of pit road, requiring the driver to limp around the entire track with the rubber flapping against the rear fender and bumper. But solid pit strategy brought the No. 23 car into the lead, and with a few laps to go, Mario Farnbacher appeared to be ready for the checkered fag.
