Grassroots Motorsports 166 TECH: NOTES FROM THE GARAGE No matter what the car, there's bound to be a club for it. Now that we have a Ford SVT Focus in the feet, we fgured we should meet other like-minded individuals. So recently, we joined Florida Focus at their annual Daytona Beach Meat with our project car. What was the event all about? Sun, sand, meat and lots of Ford Focuses–we counted 40 of them at one point. After a day spent eating burgers and staring at cars, we caravanned over to a local go-kart track for an afternoon of racing before dinner.–Tom Suddard SAND, SURF AND FOCUSES Focus builds of all shape e represented drag racers to autocrossers and show cars.
