ramps). The gearing allows for great cornering even in third gear in town, performing very well even at lower revs. I have had it for eight years now, and the only thing that had to be replaced was the catalytic converter. (Road N Race Performance found me a very teensy, tiny one, and Peter Shadowen fabricated a new exhaust for me as well.) The only other repair was a new clutch. Meredydd Francke Drawing Crowds Just wanted to write regard- ing the "Everyday Supercar" article on driving the Viper as a daily. That experience, where every stop is a mini- event, can be had in some far more affordable vehicles as well. I bought an immacu- late, enthusiast-owned Ducati 900SS several years back. It was only $6700, but the way people looked, ogled and asked about that bike, you'd have sworn it was a six-figure supercar. The lesson? If you buy something neat, unusual or remotely exotic-looking, get used to being friendly with people. Glad to read your article and see the exhorta- tion to people with cool cars to share the joy of owning such vehicles.
